When I was a kid, I loved to go to my Grandmother's(Aaita) place. Summer vacation was apt for going there as we use to get a month long vacation from school. It was a place amidst nature. The entrance gate made of bamboos is called "Nongola", A huge compound with a beautiful home was the place where we enjoyed our holidays. Pic 1. Nongola The first thing one will notice is the prayer house called "Guxain Ghor or Naamghar" , where my Aaita used to do her daily prayers to the almighty at the wee hours of the morning. After that Aaita used to take out milk from the cow in that small aluminum bucket, picture of which is still fresh in my mind. Pic 2. Naamghar Pic 3. Bhoral Ghar A Paddy storage godown called "Bhoral ghor" is an essential part of a village home. There was a "Dheki" near Bhoral ghor.
