A land of skyscappers!!!! We were excited to the bits. We decided to celebrate our 5 years of togetherness with something very special and beautiful. This time it was our first International Trip!! We both love to travel. Whether it's by airways, train, bus, car or whatever. Exploring new places, interacting with new people is our common interest. We never get tired of travelling.
As soon as everything was finalized we started packing our bags with the best we have. This time we promised ourselves that we'll travel light, & guess what, we succeeded đđ.
After celebrating our marriage anniversary on 30th Sept '17 with family, we had our flight the very next day.
1ST OCT '17 was all about Airports, check-ins, immigration, security check, boarding & finally reaching Dubai with little outing to the mall!!
we left for airport at about 9:30 a.m. in the morning. Flight timing was 01:40 p.m. We reached airport at about 11 a.m. After check-in & immigration, we head towards security check. Everything was pretty quick and smooth to realise that we are going out of the country this time. We had enough time to roam around the New Delhi airport and sip a cup of coffee. After wandering through the shops in the airport, we proceeded for boarding. Taking the Passport & Visa along with lots of
anticipation for a wonderful vacation we boarded the flight.
Air India express was the medium through which we reached Dubai, UAE. Upon landing at 3:45 p.m., we went through immigration and took our luggage. A person from Makemytrip received us at the airport and gave us the Itenary for next 5days, then we were transfered to our hotel "The Golden Sands 5".
"The Golden Sands 5" is a hotel apartment in Bur Dubai area. Room was awesome with all kinds of amenities like Iron with iron table, hair dryer, locker, kitchen area with utensils, electric stove, microwave oven, washing machine and what not. An extra of 50 dirhams was charged as hotel tax. We got freshened up. We had nothing planned for that evening, so we took a taxi to Dubai Mall as we didn't want to waste a single minute of our trip.
Dubai Mall was grand. A shopping Paradise for a shopoholic. It has got almost every big brand. Beautifully built, spacious, comprising huge area. We roamed, roamed and roamed. We walked aimlessly here & there. We didn't shop at all. Then we went to see the Dubai Mall's famous musical fountain. It was too beautiful. Suddenly we realized that it's the great Burj khalifa behind us. And Oh my God... what was that., We were just too happy, finally we saw Burj khalifa. We just took so many pictures ..we were so awestruck. Then we had our dinner at the food court and left for hotel.
On 2ND OCTOBER, after breakfast we got ready. As our Itenary was about to start in the afternoon hours, we thought why not explore locally near the hotel. We heard about the Meena Bazar, an Indian market area.
